I'm Stefanie Fario — a photographer, writer, and editor based in Florida with a lifelong obsession with music, storytelling, and the people behind the work.

I went to my first concert in 2003. It was Warped Tour, and somewhere between watching All-American Rejects, Simple Plan, and Bowling for Soup play side stages, I realized there was something about live music that I wanted to keep chasing.

I've been writing for as long as I can remember. My first attempt was a terrible vampire novel written on an IBM when I was twelve. Thankfully, the computer didn't save it.

Years later, I earned my bachelor's degree in English Literature and began writing professionally in 2016. Since then, I've written across editorial and professional spaces, developing a particular interest in the intersection of storytelling, music, photography, and visual culture. Today, my work centers around artists.

I photograph live performances, document the atmosphere surrounding music, and write about the artists behind the songs — particularly the emerging musicians, independent artists, and creative voices that deserve to be discovered.

IN 2026, I FOUNDED FRET & INK, AN INDEPENDENT MUSIC PUBLICATION EXPLORING ARTISTS, STORIES, PHOTOGRAPHS, AND CULTURE BEHIND THE SOUND.
