A littérateur (pronounced lit-er-uh-TUR) is a person who knows a lot about literature, or a professional writer, critic, or essayist. The word comes from the French word for a person of letters.
Hi, that's me. I'm stefanie. And i've wanted to be a writer since before microsoft word was available. i wrote my first fiction book on an ibm pc. there was no desktop. you turned it on, a green cursor blinked as you typed on a black screen. if you got really lucky it would save. it was a vampire romance. it was terrible. I was 13. let's all take a moment to appreciate it died with that ibm pc...moving on...
This is stefanie circa 2009. she is not a writer. she's spent the last four years in healthcare...and she'll spend another seven there before she gets her first paid writing gig. she went to her first concert in 2003. it was warped tour. absolutely nothing better than being a millenial that watched the all-american rejects, simple plan and bowling for soup play side stages.
fast forward to 2016...this girl gets paid for her first piece of writing. it's healthcare. it's boring. but it's published. and then another. and then another. and then a panel vlog. pretty soon she's making real money writing - the dream. (you can google me - i'm not saying they're riveting but...i'm there!)
but now it's 2026...and the dream is changing. the girl who spent her summers at festivals is experiencing a comeback. so if you are an indie band i want to hear from you. the smaller the better. the bands that play for exposure. for free drinks. for the love of music. i want to write your story...and maybe take some pictures.
